Does anyone know why supporter packs are not available for purchase until the new season starts?

Just curious - is there a reason EHG doesn't release the seasonal supporter packs until the day of the release?

Don't other ARPGs (like PoE) start selling supporter packs before season start to capitalize on the pre-season hype?
