Hiii. I'm looking for friends HAHAHA!

I came across this small screening happening this Saturday, October 3 at RIFT Gallery in EDSA, and thought it might be interesting to share here.

They’re showing No Hard Feelings (2021), a German film that seems to center on a young man from an Iranian immigrant family who meets two Iranian siblings living in a refugee shelter in Germany. From what I’ve read, it touches on migration, queer identity, family, and the feeling of trying to figure out where you belong.

It’s being paired with The River Flows in Different Places (2026) by Filipino filmmaker Lotlot Hermosura, which follows two Filipina women married to Palestinians and their experiences of living in the Philippines after being displaced from Gaza. It sounds like a much more intimate, personal look at what displacement and finding a home can mean.

There’s also a post-screening discussion, so it seems like a pretty small and intimate film night.

One thing that caught my attention: Gazan Kitchen will be there providing Palestinian food, and they’ll also be selling some of their food at the venue. So there’s going to be Palestinian food alongside films dealing with migration, displacement, and home, which feels like an interesting combination.

It’s happening October 3, 4–8 PM at RIFT Gallery, and registration is free. Sharing in case anyone’s looking for something a little different this weekend.
