I built a site that pairs people who wish something existed with the people building it
I love building things, and I love meeting people who build things. For me, building has never been the hard part. The hard part is finding the people who actually want what I've made.
I also think most people have a "why doesn't this exist?" idea sitting in the back of their head, and they'd love to see it come to life and support whoever makes it.
So I made Earlybird (earlybird.day). It's a website/newsletter that asks one question: What do you wish existed? You describe it in your own words, 200 characters max. Every month I rank everything by how many people asked for it and how original it is, and share the top 10 with people who build things. If someone builds your idea, you hear first. You can also choose to let builders reach out to you directly.
It's an early experiment. No pitch decks, nothing for sale, and I don't sell anyone's info.
Two things that would be super helpful from this crowd:
- Is this a good idea? Be honest. Would you use it? What would make it better, or what's missing?
- Builders: would a monthly list of what real people are asking for be useful to you?
Thanks all!
