advice on how to deal with macbook after water spill

Hi! I have a MacBook Pro that I accidentally just spilled a glass of water on 😭

Right after the spill happened, I disconnected its charger (there was no reaction at all—the plug was wet too), my macbook screen seemed fine (no obvious signs of water damage, though that probably takes longer to appear), I dried both the charger and Mac with a towel, and then I powered off my Mac and put it in a ā€˜tent position’ with a fan near it to dry anything I missed off.

While I was moving it around, I think I accidentally pressed part of the keyboard and powered it on again and the screen still looked fine, but I still powered it off again and kept it upside with the fan just in case.

I was wondering if there’s anything I need to do now—is there a certain time limit I need to wait before I power it back on, or anything else I need to be aware of? And is there any hope that my Mac won’t just end up ruined?

I’d appreciate any advice please šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™
