When using dish detergent as a wetter, how much do you use?

I'm getting drying and skipping issues with one of my inks (Van Dieman's Fire Coral), so I thought I'd try wetting it. I transferred a small amount to an eyedropper bottle, like half an inch or so. How much detergent would make a noticeable difference?
