What do you guys think of Monstrous Regiment? Recently read it for the first time

I recently finished Monstruos Regiment and I think it might be my favorite discworld I've read so far (only 4 mind you). I loved (most of) the characters, particularly Polly, Jackrum and Blouse, the exploration of gender roles and war, the humour (I think it's the one I've laughed the hardest at) and the ending conversation between Polly and Jackrum is so beautiful.
I found a couple of characters severely underused, particularly Maladicta, Igorina and SPECIALLY Jade (for a book called "monstrous" regiment, the non-human characters don't get to do much, you know?) and I found a couple of watch scenes a bit distracting as they broke the Polly POV, but besides that, I really loved it.

And I was curious to see what other people think, so, what'd you think?
