I need someone smart please to help recommend a nice compact fun camera, I already have a Sony A6700
First of all, thank you for putting in the time and effort of your day to read and help me with this!
Questionnaire
Budget: I do not really have a preference and can keep it pretty wide, it doesn't need to include lenses or extras if it is something you highly recommend. $300-800
Country: United States
Condition: No preference on used or new.
Type of Camera: I am more of a point and shoot lover, I was gifted a Sony-a6700 and only pointed and shot with it and realized it had not met what I was truly looking for and that camera needed a more practical owner than me.
Intended use: I love going on hikes and enjoyed using my camera for beautiful scenic photos, but I also wanted that same camera to be able to go on nights out that would fit in my purse and take fun photos for Instagram. I like to make videos, I enjoy videotaping animals but it's okay if I have to give it up. I don't really want to though lol! I make videos of me and my girlfriends aswell for memories and insta.
If photography; what style: Landscape, Instagram pose, animals
If video what style: Vlogging
What features do you absolutely need: built -in flash, compact enough for a purse, sturdy, articulating screen/or flip up touch screen, easy-moderate to learn that will get me to add cute settings for girls day out photos for the gram.
What features would be nice to have: Any extras that would let me continue my love for photographing my hikes and animals as well! Waterproof even? Or resistant or some help with that. It gets snowy AND humid where I'm from.
Portability: yes please portable!
Cameras you're considering: Sony ZV-1? I am not as familiar with many cameras. Canon G7X is overrated with the price but I can appreciate the Mark III.
Cameras you already have: Sony A6700, I LOVE HER so much but she's just so big and bulky. It's difficult to just casually go on a hike cause I worry about her and I can't take her to restaurants or beaches cause I worry and again, she's big. But she has amazing quality, cute flash, I spent a lot on add-ons as well with the lens. Quality is super cute but I also want a camera where I don't need to do heavy editing outside of which and don't need to worry about all of the professional stuff. I loved all my digis and had little cybershots but they broke but I loved the vibey and higher quality that feels already edited.
