Noise in the Dorm hall
I'm a first year student. 5 weeks in and I don't know why I expected people to be more.. self aware/conscious. Lately around 11pm I've been hearing girls outside my dorm in the hallways talking loudly. It's not even the weekends and they're doing this. Why? I don't understand- how daft could you be? It's like they forget there are other people on this floor living with them. I kind of understand if it was the holidays and people are up celebrating. But it's not. It would be excused if they did this once, but this is happening four days straight now. And just tonight, 10 pm I hear someone blasting music while walking down the hall, singing along. Is 10pm the cursed hour?
I have also woken up around 2 in the morning, TWICE, hearing someone giggling and running down the hall with loud stomps. I would rather it be a ghost than an actual immature person.
People are trying to sleep or study but clearly that means nothing to these people. It's absurd and almost disturbing how careless they can be. Me and my roommate called the RA four times one night to complain about the noises, but they hardly do anything. At this point, those quiet hour posters should be ripped off, because clearly no one takes them seriously.
