New hire in [ca] help
Ive been a CNA for 12 years, in 2023 I got diagnosed with MS and worked until the end of 2024 and couldn't handle it anymore so I've been on disability since then, and still long term LOA with my work. Well now the money has ran out, and I'm panicking (yes I should have prepared and budgeted better) I went in and my manager basically said in a liability and they dont have a good position for me to come back into.. really my biggest issues are extreme heat intolerance and extreme fatigue and some weakness and clumsiness.. technically I could still do the job it would just be very taxing.. so I guess im wondering a few things, what are my rights in coming back since I'm still an employee? Can they really tell me no? I have been applying for other jobs, ones much easier on the body but I really dont have a lot of other qualifications? And should I tell possible said new employer about my disability? There's no telling what the future looks like but I also dont want to be discointed for it now? I have 2 young children, my relationship with my long term boyfriend isn't great the stress is getting to him.. if he leaves im left with nothing.. any advise is welcome..
