Missed uscis biometrics appointment

I have a 3 months old baby and he was not feeling well I was overwhelmed which caused me to missed my biometric appointment, i realized 3 days after the date had passed. I called the office they give me a referral number and told me I’ll have to wait 30 days and if I don’t receive a notice i should call back…I don’t want to wait for the 30 days since I’m afraid they might not give me a date soon. Can someone advise me on what next i can do?
