I think I know how this season will end

I don’t believe Hal is Dead, wow shocker. I think the hal o gram was used throughout this episode to show us Hal’s true personality, the hal that was stubborn and prideful.

We learn in ep 6 that Hal after getting out of jail has gone back to rushville to right his wrongs and ends up seducing Kerry kane into a romantic relationship, I wonder who that sounds like… Manhunters. At the diner when John and Hal meet and Hal refuses to apologize we se Hal has NOT changed, he’s still the same Hal, and if he’s not apologizing to John there’s no damn way he’s going door to door apologizing to all of rushville.

Hal needed John for his plan, but John came too early, Hal knew john would investigate but DID NOT want John to be a suspect. He set up the scavenger hunt by planting the bird key on fake Hal’s body and planting the bridge in the safe as well as the gun presumably used to kill fake hal, even gave him a poncho to block out the fear mist.

I believe Hal learned from Sinestro that Leanna is working to betray the Guardians, for whatever reason that is (there’s many theories) and Hal broke Sinestro out to try and find a way to stop her, though now Hal doesn’t have a ring, the guardians (Leanna) decommissioned it so Hal couldn’t access it. This is where John comes in

It’s pointed out time and time again that John is so powerful he can summon constructs and maintain them without the ring on and without it being linked to him. Hal realizes He alone is not strong enough to take down Leanna without a ring, especially one that has no charge, but who can use a ring without power… JOHN can.

This whole story is about forgoing the destiny you were raised to follow and having the willpower to break free from it. John rejects the ring even when it’s offered to him, and Hal has rejected the Jordan boys legacy by picking the ball back up and overcoming his demons to become a green lantern.

The climax will involve John using a dead ring that only he can use, to fight leanna and save the lantern core with Hal offically passing down the new “Jordan Boy legacy” to his Junior John Stewart.

Somehow Sinestro escapes and uses what he learned from his time on the dead planet to weaponize fear Yada yada yada Boom season 2
