Wheel liner cracked - would a (neat) zip tie repair pass RWC? [VIC]

Hey all,

Recently bought a car and discovered the arch liners are torn on both sides. One substantially worse than the other.

I sealed up the really bad one with some nice zip tie mechanic work, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have done that as it not only draws more attention to the issue, but I'm not sure it would be considered roadworthy because the split is technically still there.

It's an older car so getting replacement liners is difficult.

I'm probably going to get some plastic weld to put over both sides but in the meantime I thought I'd ask.
