LA in October?

Going to LA this coming weekend for the first time in a long time. What are some things that a tactician should not miss?

We'll be staying in Hollywood, but are willing to take a long ass uber ride. I'd love to hear if any of you angels have recs for cool cocktail bars, restaurants, and/or daytime activities? Salsa? Beer?
