Hello to all my unlucky friends.

Question about Symptoms ....

Sorry for the long post.

I’ve got a couple of questions. After have AGS for a couple years, I only recently had severely intense symptoms. Up until a couple months ago, it was mainly all GI stuff. Most of the time it could be handled with some medication and sometimes would still get mildly sick for about a day. The first time it was major, I had severe GI pain and issues (top and bottom), severe muscle aches all over worse than the flue, hot/cold, mild breathing issues, etc.

This brings me to my most recent reaction a couple days ago. I have no idea what caused it or what I ate or was around or anything. About 2 in the morning I woke up from a dead sleep went and had a bowl movement like I usually do when I have a reaction. Sometimes I will just get one or two due to other GI problems I’ve had since I was a kid. After about an hour of this which also evolved in to puking, my body instantly started to hurt, not ache, just extreme pain, mainly my stomach and my lower back. Like the insides of my stomach and lumbar spine decided they didn’t want to be on the inside anymore, they wanted to be on the outside.

Fast forward my wife takes me to the ER and I feel like a crackhead because I cannot sit still and I’m just rolling on the bed trying to get comfortable every other 10 seconds. Still vomiting and producing bowl movements. I felt like I had to of looked like Ricky Bobby with the invisible fire that was attacking me. They end up starting at IV (which only made the bowl movements worse) and then giving me a couple meds for pain, nausea, and I guess a big dose of antihistamines. It helped some, but I was still hurting bad. They finally gave me fentanyl and another dose of the nausea and anti histamines and discharged me.

It worked, but I haven’t really ever heard of anyone who gets reactions like this. I am prescribed epi-pens, but I don’t get hives, I don’t really get any major airway issues, it’s more of a “just in case”. Is it just me, or do any of you get anything similar to this?
