(Ally, Asia) is it difficult to get married when you have a trans sibling?
Hi
I'm Asian (like, Asian-Asian, i live in east asia) and my sibling is trans.
I love her and support her 100%. I'm in my mid-20s, bi, but i haven't dated anyone so far.
Recently I've been looking into studying abroad, dating, just because it happens to be something I was interested at the moment. But then I was wondering if most asians would think I'm weird or not suitable for marriage because of my trans sister - Koreans have an obsession over the idea of being 'normal' (univ graduate, big company, white collar, still quite misogynistic), and they usually 'need' their parents' approval to get married. not to mention how conservative the older generation is here.
Again I'm happy to take whatever prejudice on me bc I love my sister the most, but I was just wondering. I think I might have a higher drive to study abroad if that's the case. Can Asians share me their experiences?
