Is 82K a normal estimated labor and delivery bill in nyc?? (Self pay no insurance)

Helping a family with no insurance and giving birth soon with hospital bill. It’s gonna be entirely self pay with no insurance or financial assistance. We asked the hospital for a good faith estimate and expected around 15k to 30K, but instead we received an estimate bill of 82K for vaginal delivery or 101K for C section, for self pay. We asked for discounts and they said the most they can do is maybe a 25% off on certain items. Is this normal or am I completely delusional for thinking a normal self pay will cost much less.
