Pisces bf broke up with me yesterday

I’ve been crying all day since and couldn’t sleep. He really sold me the dream only to basicslly say I’m too damaged, my depression that would cause constant fights. I feel confused. Did he even love me? Was any of it real? I know it’s Venus retrograde but even if he came back, can I forgive? I’d never have done this
