[REQUEST][STEAM] Wardogs

REQUEST

I miss the chaos of Arma 3 KOTH

Some multiplayer games give you stories you remember long after the game ends. For me, Arma 3 King of the Hill is one of those games.

So when I found out Wardogs was inspired by KOTH, with three teams, one control zone, and up to 100 players, it went straight to the top of my wishlist.

I've been watching a lot of Wardogs since it entered Early Access, and it gives me a lot of the same feelings I remember from KOTH. I love having an entire battlefield happening around you while still being able to decide how you want to contribute and help your team.

The game doesn't seem to force everyone into just running at the objective and shooting people. You can go after the Hot Zone for double cash, run logistics, build a FOB at a chokepoint, fly transport, crew a vehicle, or just get pulled into some ridiculous firefight that breaks out somewhere on the map. Having three teams instead of two also makes everything feel much less predictable, which was one of my favorite things about KOTH. You never really know where the next attack is going to come from.

The building and destruction are probably what I'm most excited about. I've always loved those moments in games like Arma where a plan looks completely reasonable and then five minutes later you're improvising because someone destroyed the building you were using as cover. I can already picture trying to set up a FOB somewhere, only for the whole plan to fall apart and everyone having to figure out what to do next.

I also really like that the game gives you ways to help your team without having to be the person with the most kills. A good transport pilot, FOB builder, medic, or driver can make a huge difference. That's the kind of multiplayer I've always enjoyed. I'd love to be in a squad where everyone starts with a plan and, an hour later, we're all just trying to survive whatever is happening around us.

I've been trying to be more careful with what I spend on games right now, so $39.99 is more than I can justify spending at the moment. The developers have also said the price may increase closer to the 1.0 release, which is another reason I've been hoping to get into it during early access.

I've checked the requirements and my PC can run it. At this point I'd just love to stop watching other people play and actually get in there myself.

If someone is kind enough to gift it to me, I'll actually play it and give it the same chance I've given Arma KOTH, rather than let it sit in my library.

Thankyou so much for reading, and thankyou for this community to give me the opportunity for something like this. It means so much to me.
