First medsurg exam. Questions absolutely ridiculous. Who ever has failed medsurg, just know the teachers truly failed you.

To preface, I am really good in anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, good clinical understanding, interpreting, and have been told I have good clinical judgment (8yr in healthcare already). This exam was a joke. Barely any question answerable from textbook readings, teachers teaching.. the choices are impossible to choose just one answer. Asking me to diagnose, without sufficient information. Asking about wounds interventions when all we are taught are assessments. Questions that legit have 2 right answers and impossible to know which is more right. Whats your priority teaching when all of them are important like I can only speak to the patient about one thing. Seemingly none of the interventions we did learn are on the exam.
Such an insult to our education. We all studied and for nothing. Most agreed at the end, what was the point of studying.. wasn’t gonna help us. And I understand the sentiment.
As someone who values education, knowledge, and the medical field this is a perfect example of what is wrong in this field. Teach students properly or gtfo of this job.
