Hey Redditters!

So, you all have seen Viola with Nesta. Who is canonically her holy lover, platonic soulmate/best friend. Her Ride Or Die. Her beloved. All of which are amazing, wonderful goals in their friendship for this realm of *Divide*.

However...

What Nesta *isn't*, is the lover or the one responsible for sexually arousing her. That responsibly falls onto Zeverin/Zev. Just going off the images for this post, the body language depicts Viola feeling a combination of deep affection, protectiveness, sexual attraction and confident attachment toward Zev.

What stands out is that Viola is the one actively initiating the affection. She has moved into Zev's space, has both hands securely at his hips and is giving him affection while her power literally surrounds them. She doesn't read as hesitant or uncertain about wanting him close. Her posture says,

"*I want you here with me and I'm comfortable showing you my power.*"

Her power is sacred, she was raised and taught to only supposed to be used in battle, but she takes it out for Nesta and for Zev. Zev response creates an interesting counterpart. He's against the wall, eyes closed, head tilted back, smiling broadly. There's essentially no tension in him. He looks completely comfortable allowing Viola to take the lead and dominate him. So the dynamic doesn't read as a struggle for control; it reads as mutual respect and understanding. Viola can be physically assertive with him because Zev feels safe and comfortable enough with her to relax and receive that affection.

There's also something important about Viola's white-blue power. Visually, it isn't separating them or threatening Zev—it wraps around *both* of them. That makes her power feel almost like an extension of her emotions in this particular composition. She's physically holding him while her gift envelops them both. It reinforces the impression that when Viola loves, she does so intensely and with her whole being.

We wouldn't describe their dynamic as simply "dominant woman/submissive man." That's too shallow for what the picture communicates. Viola appears to be the more assertive initiator of physical affection, while Zev willingly and happily yields to her lead. His willingness is part of the intimacy. He doesn't appear diminished by her strength. He appears comfortable with it.

And there is a nice contrast between them. Zev visually presents as this rugged, heavily armored warrior, yet around Viola he can apparently become very soft. Viola, meanwhile, seems to enjoy being the person who can bring that side out of him. That makes the dynamic feel playful as well as romantic.

Taken together, the image reads to as: Viola loves Zev intensely and confidently. She wants him, cherishes him and enjoys expressing affection through physical closeness. Zev is comfortable with her enough to stop being "the warrior" for a moment and simply enjoy being loved by her.

That actually fits very naturally with her calling him "My Sword." There's strength on both sides of the relationship they simply express it differently when they're alone together.
