What non stem major can i go into that can help me get into a good job
I am a current freshman at clemson studying biology and i absolutely hate it. I enjoy biology in general but the chemestry and math requirements are killing me this semester and i think they will tank my gpa if i continue. I have always been an english oriented person and i am considering switching to english but i dont think i would make a good lawyer and I also wouldnt enjoy the financial instibility that comes with being a teacher. My mom was an independent writer for decades and she was very good, but with ai that career is completely destroyed, she had to start picking up random side work to help around the house. I think i would do really well in english but in my financial situation it wouldnt be beneficial for me. I have always been interested in forensics, and i even considered forensic lingusitics, but with really only 1 option in the US to get that phd, combined with the price of the phd, also combined with the fact that the job itself is very competitive I doubt that coukd go anywhere. Psychology also seemed relaly interesting, but basically every job requires a phd to get a decent wage.
When i was a kid i always wanted to be a broadway costume designer but i dont think i can stand putting so much money into an art degree and not getting anything out of it/being stuck in a position that pays next to nothing. I love sewing and i make my own clothes but i dont know what i can really do with that.
Ive been trying to look at the other majors clemson has but most of them are science based or at least look like they are. I just dont know what to do at this point, i dont want to waste my time and money on a major that leads to careers where ill have to get a side job just to pay to live
