I do not like the lore change in S01E07

!I do not like the choice of making Hal's dad's death a suicide!<

!I do not understand how Hal's dad was going to be a burden on Hal or anyone. Nor do I understand what was bothering his father!<

!I do not understand how Hal was able to overcome the suicidal depression passed down and what made him a candidate for the ring. There has to be a normal way to get the ring. Without your dad killing himself or having apples shot off of your head!<
