Capgemini Assessment Update — English Communication Rescheduled to September 30 + Cognitive Assessment Experience
Hey everyone,
Sharing an update for those appearing for the Capgemini Exceller 2027 assessment.
The assessment that was scheduled on September 28 was apparently rescheduled because many candidates were unable to access the test.
I was somehow able to access it, complete all the sections, and submit the assessment. However, my attempt will not be considered, and we have been informed that we need to reattempt it on September 30.
📅 Rescheduled Assessment
New date: September 30, 2026
So, if you were able to complete the September 28 attempt, don't assume that it is your final/valid attempt. Check your official communication/portal for your individual schedule and instructions.
What was in the assessment?
From the assessment I attempted on September 28, I saw 4 broad areas:
1. Situational / Workplace Judgement
Scenario-based questions where you select the single most effective response.
Examples included situations involving:
- Communication with senior officials
- Handling delays and escalations
- Professional judgement
- Appropriate public/professional responses
2. Reading Comprehension
A passage followed by multiple questions.
One case study was about Daylight Saving Time, covering:
- Energy-saving claims
- Electricity consumption
- Health effects
- Sleep/circadian rhythm
- Permanent standard time vs permanent daylight time
There were 5 questions based on the passage.
3. Communication
This included video-recorded speaking questions as well as written responses(Business Email Writing).
For example, I encountered:
- A recorded question asking about a colleague/classmate you enjoy working with
- A timed question where you had 2 seconds to prepare and 120 seconds to answer
- Written scenarios requiring professional emails/responses
The writing tasks had specific word-range and tone requirements.
4. English / Sentence Correction
The final portion included sentence-improvement questions.
Topics I encountered included:
- Subject–verb agreement
- Parallel structure
- Conditional sentences
- Modifier placement
- Idiomatic constructions
- Sentence phrasing
For example:
“If the funding had arrived on time, the trial could have started in March.”
and
“The delay was caused not so much by a shortage of parts as by a failure to order them early.”
🧠 Cognitive Assessment — September 28, 10:00 PM
On the same day, September 28, the Cognitive Assessment was also conducted at around 10:00 PM.
The areas I encountered were:
- Working Memory
Memory Grid
You need to remember information/patterns shown on a grid and reproduce/identify them.
- Complementary Analysis
Motion Grid
This involved analyzing movement/patterns within a grid and determining the appropriate outcome.
- AP Reasoning
A reasoning-based section involving logical/analytical problem solving.
- Work Related
Behavioral / workplace-oriented questions, focused on how you respond to different work situations.
⚠️ Important
This is just my experience from the September 28 attempt. Since the September 28 assessment is being treated as a rescheduled, the exact questions or ordering on September 30 may differ.
I'm posting this mainly so candidates who couldn't access the assessment, or those preparing for the reattempt, have an idea of what types of sections/questions were encountered.
If anyone else attempted the September 28 assessment, please share what you experienced—especially the Cognitive Assessment sections and any differences in the Communication section.
Good luck to everyone attempting it on September 30!
