I’m being harassed and today assaulted by a coworker.

Hey, so long story short: I found a new job! It’s a nice place, they pay really well, twice what I was making at my old job, my coworkers are ok (mostly females, were a team of 45 people, only 3 of them are men) and everyone’s older than me, I’m in my 20’s.. so yeah let me describe the situation.

There’s this guy who is about +50 years old and he was really nice during the first days, he gave me and other new employees a tour around the place, all good all nice, we don’t really need to interact so that was it, I never said anything to this person.

Just to list some of the stuff that’s been happening, 1. This guy’s is always staring at my chest EVEN THO i’m all covered up because we have a dress code.

  1. I have tattoos all over my arms so one day this person grabbed my arm and started touching my tattoos like “oh wow that’s so cool” that kinda of bullshit.

  2. Over the past month (My first month) this dude has been making weird comments about me, such as “The most precious woman in this place, I get so excited just by looking at you, Hmmm they way you walk up those stairs so delicious” he even calls me “Mi amor” (My love, my dear in english idk the proper translation for it, NASTY) and making the most disgusting noises.

Today, I was in my office, all by myself, and I was doing something, right, I was busy, so he came to say hi, I ignored him cuz like I said, I was really busy, I’m trying to learn how things work here at this place and he started rubbing my back and he got really close to my bra and it felt as if he was trying to unclasp my bra. IM 100% thats what he wanted to do.

I was sexually abused by a relative when I was a child, and I felt THE SAME WAY, I obviously didn’t enjoy it but if anyone reading this is also a victim, you know your body starts doing weird things. I went to the bathroom immediately to cry and I haven’t told anyone yet, not even my husband because I feel so sad and dirty even though I didn’t do anything wrong.

This is past the point of setting a boundary and I need to report it, I just don’t know who to talk to about it because 1. this is the first time something like this happens to me at work. 2. this person has been working here for +10 years and I don’t know now If they’ll believe me.
