Lag between pressing swing button & swing animation

Am I insane?

I know this game is trash, I've been reading and seeing it all over this sub. I'm still playing a franchise on 24, I don't buy yearly sports games. I have only played 6 games total of Ranked on 24. 3-3 the next 10 games I tried, never made it to the field, connection lost to opponent in the pre-game animation. I refused to ever go back to it.

FF to 26 being free on ps plus. I have been slacking doing anything in 26 because I don't want to start ALL OVER AGAIN. Yesterday I messed around with some ranked games = is there some lag issue? I'm 5-1 but I noticed pitches that, regularly, I am ON .. I'm missing completely. I was testing out last night, my timing was dead on & I was missing, I would swing early & I was still missing, I would swing late & I was still missing. I noticed a lot of swings didn't seem to be taking place when I was actually hitting the swing button. It seemed like every swing was a fraction too slow in the animation compared to when I was pressing. It was really pissing me off. Am I losing my mind or imagining this is happening?
