what major is best for this kinda life plan??
hello everyone, I never figured I'd be going to college but here I am (20f) deciding what i wanna go to college for next school year. I already have some ideas based on what i wanna do in the future, but i want to figure out what the best route is for me.
What i want to do in the future:
maybe it's juvenile but i would like to open my own "3rd space", thinking maybe a thrift store/record store with possibly a coffee shop/ bakery attached. i have always wanted to be a vendor at local events and am very interested in connecting with the community + I love customer service and managing(im currently a manager at a food place). I absolutely love the idea of hosting art and other community events in said building, or maybe even pop up events where ppl can rent out the store lot, etc. I already love the idea of connecting with the community and the finance part of it, i can see myself enjoying.
What major/minor?
I can see myself enjoying culinary, especially the pastry and confections part but i don't know how this would benefit me other than the cafe section of "my future building".
I have also looked into business and finance, and while that sounds like it'll help, I don't see a lot of people saying how it helps you start your own business. I do enjoy calculating stock and the other stuff at my job tho, and genuinely enjoy the math part of business. which would help more? Or is there a different major that would benefit me more? should I study something more stable to achieve this kinda dream??
any help is welcomed, even if it's to tell me how much debt ill be in lololl
(I am in no rush to achieve this dream, good stuff takes a long time. I'm willing to start out small and grow from a local vendor to a local shop)
