Kaws Minipainting Advice/help

My friend 3-D printed a Mini kaws figure and I want to paint it. Do you think I should use Hobby Store Acrylics (Vallejo / Citadel) paints or should I use something else? BTW I'm sanding, priming and giving it a matte finish.
