What’s something you stopped buying cheaply because being cheap was costing you more?

I’m starting to realize there’s a difference between being frugal and just buying the cheapest option every time. For me, there have been things where I kept buying the cheaper version, replacing it, getting annoyed with it, then eventually buying the better one anyway. So I basically paid twice. Shoes is one of the main things, that if you save on them they will not last you at all.

What’s something you now happily spend more on because it actually saves you money long term?
