Summoning people in dreams?

i’ve recently had 2 very brief lucid dreams after trying to get back into lucid dreaming (i used to do it consistently years ago) and there’s a particular character i wanna summon in my dreams, but both times i’ve become lucid recently i couldn’t summon them no matter how hard i tried. Years ago i used to use that method where you turn around, imagine them behind you, turn around again and they’d be there, and also the one where you call out their name/tell them to come over to you and they worked very consistently back then but they gradually stopped, and now they still don’t seem to work. and before you say “just believe in it working!”, i DO 😭 i do believe they work because they have worked before but they still don’t do anything.

Are there any other methods i just don’t know about that might work better?? Other than those 2 i mentioned, the only one i’ve tried which worked a few times was texting them on my phone asking where they’re at and then heading over to them
