Those who managed to get serious with fitness/diet routines, what ultimately worked for you?

Questions/Advice

I’m someone who feels great after exercising and loves sports, but inevitably gets overwhelmed and fizzles out when trying to get serious about my fitness goals. I know go see serious progress I need to commit to exercising AND commit to a better diet regiment, but y’all understand how hard it can be to commit to… anything.

Those who managed to break through this hurdle and finally do the meal prepping, the gym 4+ days a week, the calorie counting, etc, what helped you break through? I feel like this is mainly a mental barrier rather than a physical one and I want to know how to trick my ADHD into getting and staying in a healthier lifestyle.

My goals are to lose 25 pounds of fat and gain 15 pounds of muscle in the longterm, so I’d take any tips toward either. I work 8:30-5:30 and I’m trying to find out how to maximize my time/energy. I oftentimes am too tired/unmotivated to go to the gym or workout at home most days after work and going before work feels almost impossible.
