601 -> 602 Promotion

How hard it is to get a 602 promotion this year(Mum,IND). Manager has nominated but insists not to be really hopeful and not getting RIFd is as good as being promoted. What’s the is the procedure for promotions at this level ? Got multiple feedback’s from VPs from partner teams. Strong Rating last year. Really worked my ass off throughout the year for the promotion.
