AITA for using title IXs against someone?

My cat is staying with another cat owner I know on campus because CPS (res life) is trying to take her away from me (she’s not technically allowed in the dorm). I’ll be taking her home for my break that’s about to start so she won’t be away from me for too long. The couple taking care of my kitten have a couple friends that live in the same hall and like to visit. I hung out with one of the friends a good amount freshman year and I would call us friends, at least back then. Her boyfriend is the other friend. I found out today that her boyfriend snuck into the cat sitters room and put my kitten in a water jug and closed the lid on her and tried to sneak her out. My kitten obviously started screaming and so he brought her back and let her out but like that is just insane to me. I’ve met this man once, why does he think it’s okay to put any cat in a jug, especially one he has known for a couple of days in the context of her not being with me??? Anyways I know he has some title IX violations and I was really pissed after hearing this so I texted the girlfriend a series of texts:
“ur boyfriend is evil asf
i don’t like him
in fact i hate that mf
no wonder he has title nines
he obv doesn’t understand consent”
Am I overreacting and in the wrong for bringing up something unrelated? Is this normal behavior on his part and I’m just over protective? Idk, please let me know.
