Spell gone wrong

i dont know if this is a coincidence or someone bad reached out to me. but someone who claims to work spiritually reached out to me and said they would do spells for me. i paid her $300. she was suppose to do a regret spell and domination spell on my ex. hourd later i see he is talking to his ex from HIGHSCHOOL. can someone explain to me if this is my fault or if it could just be a coincidence.
