Kittens won’t stop pooping outside the box

So here’s the story I have two foster kittens, the first night they came home. One of the kittens decided that my laundry basket was a great litter box, the second and third day I have found that she was pooping in the corner of my closet. So my way of solving it was to make my closet off-limits I do not trust them in there.

The next issue was that we had gone on a trip and come home and of course the litter box was neglected, and the bed was transformed into a litter box. Unfortunately, we had to get rid of the bed.

No, I had just come into my room to go to bed and discovered that the cat decided to poop in my bed, and I thought we learned a lesson by making sure the litter box was cleaner by doing it every day, but we are at our widths and any advice helps.

And I know that this is not an everyday occurrence.

Vet says they are fine they just had a check up recently
