Need help treating extravasation (missed shot) at home; heating pad?

Hi guys, I missed a little in my right median cubital (inner elbow) vein, not too bad but it’s pretty swollen. My right arm really doesn’t take any shit; compared to my left, it’s so touchy and dramatic, ugh.

Anyway, I’m looking to alleviate/reduce the swelling because it’s hard to bend the arm now, and to hopefully prevent it from bruising too much and healing ugly in general. Last time this happened, my partner and fellow partaker recommended I use my heating pad. However, that time, the miss was so small I wasn’t even sure it was there, so I can’t actually say whether the heating pad helped or didn’t. Can anyone co-sign this tip? Or offer any others?
