Steam graphical quality decrease

I’ve noticed that the graphics for the Steam version of the game have become exceedingly awful after 3.7 got pushed out, I can’t even select the ultra quality settings and what not that I had previously selected.

Is there anyway to undo this or set things up so that I can use actual good quality on Steam or am I forced to go download their external launcher
