Need to pick a major ASAP. Completely stuck and running out of time
I am 28 years old, and I know I’ve wasted a lot of time. I graduated in journalism in my country, but I had little experience in the field and wasn't interested in it. After living in the U.S. for a few years, I finally had the opportunity to study. I applied to two master's programs and, ironically, was accepted to only one in journalism. I feel like I’m on a directionless path, repeating a cycle I’m not proud of. I’ve only been in the master's program for two months, and the options I’m considering include pursuing a double degree, choosing a second major like Data Science, pursuing a master’s in Healthcare Management, or an MPH in Health Administration — which are the double-degree options that appeal to me most — or simply starting over from scratch in something different. Honestly, I have no passion for anything except photography, but I know life can be unbalanced and poorly paid. I know a master's degree doesn’t guarantee anything, but I'm frustrated that I haven’t found a path that, even if it doesn’t excite me, has a good chance of providing financial stability. I would love to hear your thoughts, as time is running out and I need to decide.
