I had my four wisdom teeth removed and was told with how close my teeth were to my sinuses I cant do stuff like blowing my nose for 6 weeks instead of the usual 2. After 2 and a half weeks of doing everything perfect my coworkers ended up giving me the cold
Long title i know but idk I'm just mad and disappointed. So I had my wisdom teeth removed and I was in a lot of pain like people usually are. Well I did everything by the books, everything the dentist said. I only ate what was recommended and used my tongue to crush the food instead of my teeth. I had alarms set for every 3 hours to take my pills as the dentist said and I used and ice pack for 20 minutes on each side of my face and I barely left my bed for a while to not increase blood flow too much and damage the clots protecting my sockets. I had a few times of doing what I shouldn't. My dad kept bugging me to walk the dog and that it won't hurt anything and the increase in blood flow will help. Well after 15 minutes I went back home aching like crazy because my dogs is an absolute pain to walk with all the pulling and sniffing. I was aching the day after too. I also had a day where my mom made a huge supper and I was too tempted and ate the chicken and the cauliflower with cheese instead of only the macaroni I was allowed to eat. Well I was working after 5 days to see how well it'd go and it was perfect as long as I dont work in med serge and O.R. for context I work as housekeeping at a hospital in a call-in position. Well its been 18 days and I now have a cold given to me by a coworker who showed up two days ago with a brutal cold or something. She was coughing so hard she would be completely winded and still be coughing and even though she had a mask it was one of those disposable masks you'd find anywhere that dont even work. I was in the housekeeping room with her for a minute or two before leaving to do my job so I could get away from the sickness but it was too late I came down with the cold today and my sinuses feel clogged. Why on earth would she show up to work in that state knowing she could've called off work and have something else brought in? Couldn't have been about pay because as long as you step into the build and call to leave you get the full days pay anyway, she had to be told to leave constantly by everyone, the housekeepers, the kitchen staff, the manager and the nurses because of how sick she was. She could hardly stand up long before running out of energy, she could barely make a minute before having a coughing fit. Why on earth would she try and stay. I am so frustrated with how much care I've put my jaw through and was told so often that its unusual how quickly im healing and my parents were so proud of how responsible I was but all thats down the drain now because a stubborn coworker showed up sick and got me sick too. Some other stuff to mention is that I've had the house to myself for a 6 days now and will be alone for another week because my parents are gone on a trip for the first time since 2015 and they've been having such an amazing time seeing their favorite baseball team play and win and visiting places like our old home and their old apartment. My brother is gone for 10 days for work and has been gone since yesterday. Everyday I wake up at 5am to walk my dog and go to work if needed and my parents have been so proud of that and how well the pets and house are taken care of and my grandmother messaged me asking to come by and have lasagna. Now that im sick I just want to vent to my parents about my frustration in that coworker and my progress likely get a big set back and how I now will have to cancel plans with my grandparents which will make them sad but I can't make my parents feel sad and ruin their long deserved vacation so I came here to vent.
I know this is only small stuff compared to the other stuff and I dont expect anyone to read all this but its just been really nice to vent regardless. So I'm ending this post here and thank you for your time
Also im tagging this as nsfw because the ai here says my post appears to have topics of self harm and suicide for some reason and I don't want this taken down over that miscommunication
