Tempo shoe for 2E wide feet?

Looking to add a second pair of shoes to my running footwear collection. I currently have hoka Gaviota 6’s which are good for my easy and long runs but struggle a bit I find during threshold and interval sessions. The Hoka’s are a stability shoe but the lady at the running shoe store today said I’d be fine In a neutral shoe. I bought the SC rebel v1 today but I’m going to return them. Just too much shoe, I don’t think I need a plated shoe just yet. They also gave me lots of medial calf pain in the short duration I ran in them.

Looking for recommendations for a good tempo run for a guy with 2E feet. Which really limits down the options. Thoughts on the NB rebel v5’s?
