My teacher being pedo
I have him for 1st period currently. I always thought he was a cool guy and overall pretty chill. He seemed like a normal teacher I would have for the entire school year. But around late August, he was suddenly absent.
I walked into class one morning and there was a substitute. I didn't think much of it until my friend told me he was supposedly gone because he had harassed a girl in his 5th-period class. At first, I thought he was joking because it sounded completely ridiculous. I couldn't believe someone I had thought was a normal teacher would do something like that.
The next day, my friend told me more about what he had heard. He said the teacher had reportedly gotten extremely close to a girl, knelt down near her, and grabbed her thighs. My friend who actually had 5th period said he had seen the teacher extremely close to the girl himself. According to what I was told, the girl and some of her friends were questioned about what happened, and the teacher was gone from school afterward.
I assumed he wouldn't be coming back.
A month passed.
Then today, he was back.
Before class, my friend told me that the teacher's boss had apparently come into 5th period and talked about him returning, saying something along the lines of “life happens.” Hearing that honestly made my stomach drop. Whatever happened wasn't something I could just think of as “life happening.”
When I walked into 1st period today, he was standing there like nothing had happened.
He didn't explain what actually happened. Instead, he apparently told everyone it was a “family emergency.”
The entire atmosphere felt wrong.
A lot of the students who had him for 5th period apparently didn't even show up. I wanted to avoid the class too, but another teacher wouldn't let me skip, so I eventually walked in.
He acted completely normal.
That was probably the creepiest part.
He was walking around the classroom, talking to students, mostly girls. At one point, he kept talking to one girl near where I was sitting, walking around her while talking to her. Everything about the situation just felt uncomfortable because of what I had already heard.
Then he was talking to me while the girl next to me was talking to her friend. He apparently thought they were talking to him. When she said they weren't, he responded:
“Stop being freaky, before we get freaky Thursday.”
I just sat there thinking, Did he seriously just say that?
After everything I'd already heard, hearing him say something like that to a girl made the entire situation feel even stranger.
The weirdest part is that he came back and acted like absolutely nothing happened.
But I do know what I've been told, what my friend says he witnessed, what happened with the class afterward, and what I personally experienced today.
Now I have to sit in his classroom for 1st period and pretend everything is normal.
And honestly, I don't know what I'm supposed to do.
