Does anyone else’s mother get annoyed that you call them on the phone?

My mother genuinely seems to get upset I want to call her daily and talk to her. As a daughter who is pregnant I genuinely just can’t fathom being upset that your child calls you. She genuinely seems irritated that I call her and when we do have a conversation it’s either pleasant or she is randomly angry and has to put me down somehow. Just wanted to see if anyone else gets this…
