Gentoo is probably the best experience ive ever had with Linux so far

Story

Quick Screenshot of my desktop as filler image lmao

I was on NixOS before using Gentoo, NixOS is an amazing distro but i left on my main PC bc it has an extreme issue most people doesnt seem to realize, NixOS is overly dependent on Github/Microsoft, most of the project (nixpkgs specially) is hosted there and its a titanic flaw, and something so difficult to move from so i dont blame their maintainers/developers; I was going to distrohop to arch once again, but idk what went over my head and i said: "fuck it, lets install gentoo".

I really wish i tried Gentoo GNU/Linux and OpenRC way way waaaay earlier, they are fantastic. Despite the compile times its an amazing distribution, the greatest ive ever used, and i would gladly reinstall it whenever i need (its just 2 to 3 hours anyways)... for now im trying to study how to compile my own kernel since im using the default one.

Tbh i thought it was going to take me more time to get my setup up and running but the Ryzen 5 3600 is a very good decent cpu!. If you ask why i have like 30 flatpaks, its bc i dont wanna compile webkit-gtk/qtwebengine, multilib or 32bit libraries for gaming and there are a few niche apps that are only on flathub.

BTW, Gentoo Linux is what Arch Linux should had been, imo.
