Troubleshooting my lack of knowledge in the trade

I do have a passion for computers, curiosity, and everything elese in aspirant's belt.

Now, where do I start?

I was looking at "Introduction to Electronics" course from Georgia Tech, but I want to know if there are better starting points to learn the trade.

Needless to say, I don't want to become the best technician that ever lived overnight, but I want to get in the race even if I have to start as a trilobite learning what an Ohm is.
