How to get into high ticket sales as a closer or appointment setter without paying for a course?

Hi! I was interested in high ticket sales but everywhere I see some “guru” is trying to sell me a course that costs thousands of dollars when if you were to walk into a regular sales job and ask to apply they wouldn’t say “oh we’ll train you but you have to pay us 8K before we start or after you’ve made so much you pay us back.” So, I’m wondering is it even possible to become a closer or appointment setter in the remote sales industry without having sales experience and not paying for a course? And how and where would you look to find jobs to apply for?

I’m very willing to put in the time and effort in my day to see profit, learn from videos and tutorials and training, and make connections with anyone I have too, just I am not willing to pay for a course and if these younger people who have started and made thousands doing high ticket sales, I highly doubt they fell into the pay 9K and then start getting trained scheme.
