Posted on behalf of Midnight Sun Mining - Almost everything known about Dumbwa today comes from a single north-south corridor in the southern half of a 20 km copper-in-soil anomaly in Zambia's Solwezi district 🇿🇲. The more interesting question at this stage is what sits beside that corridor, and north of it.

**What Phase One Covered**

* Phase One began Aug 6, 2025 and tested the initial 11.5 km of the roughly 20 km anomaly (Sept 2, 2026 NR)
* 6.7 km of continuous near-surface copper mineralization confirmed (June 29, 2026 NR)
* Four areas of more intense copper mineralization identified along the corridor, with drilling shifted to the northern block on wider step-outs (Sept 2, 2026 NR)
* Roughly 100,000 m drilled in the 12 months since the discovery hole, per management at Beaver Creek earlier this month

**What The Magnetics Turned Up**

* Initial high-resolution ground magnetic survey covered about 2.7 km by 2.5 km over the northern Central Mineralized Block (Aug 6, 2026 NR)
* Two untested basement-hosted sulphide targets roughly 1 to 1.2 km east of the drilled corridor
* The same magnetic signature over drilled ground correlates with copper: DBW-25-149 17.8 m at 0.85% Cu, DBW-26-123 80.0 m at 0.39% Cu, DBW-25-148 21.0 m at 0.33% Cu
* A similar magnetic pattern to the west is still being evaluated

**Phase Two Is Built Around It**

* Magnetic survey being extended across the full 20 km anomaly
* About 19.1 line-km of additional IP underway
* Roughly 4,600 soil samples planned west of Dumbwa (Sept 2, 2026 NR)

Worth being clear on stage: there is no Dumbwa resource and tonnage is TBD, with management describing this as not a resource delineation story at this point and infill of the high-grade domains coming ahead of an MRE.

The corridor drilled so far is simply the part surface geochemistry made easiest to see. With the magnetics calibrating against real intercepts, the blind ground east and west and the roughly nine kilometres north still untested give Midnight Sun Mining (MMA.v MDNGF) room to keep growing a system it owns outright.

The thread that prompted this one is worth reading in full on X.
