Base Samsung S26 vs Pixel 11 Pro

My wife is finally going to give it a try to Android after being a life long iPhone user. She doesn't like bulky phones and it's a shame Samsung doesn't make a premium smaller phone. She loves taking pictures and recording videos, so I am leaning more towards the Pixel 11 Pro. But, I see so much negativity towards Pixels these days that I decided to see what you all think.

Should she go for a Pixel 11 Pro (not the XL) or a Base Galaxy S26? I'm also open to other suggestions, but keep in mind we live in the US and will likely get a new phone though AT&T.
