CMF Headphone Pro ($49) vs Sony CH720N ($98) - which should I get?
I’m trying to decide between these two and would appreciate some advice.
My ideal headphones are basically the Sony XM4, but they’re too expensive for my budget, so I’m looking for the closest option without spending that much.
I’ve gone through so many earbuds like jlab minis and Linsoul Tanzer ii iems and I’ve had a lot of issues so I’m hoping overears fix that for me. I want good sound quality and noise cancellation so I can wear them while studying and minimal sound leakage because I don’t want the people around me to be able to hear my music. Also something comfortable to wear for long hours too.
The prices I found:
CMF Headphone Pro: $49
Sony WH-CH720N: $98
Nothing Headphone (a): $105
I’m mainly deciding between the CMF Pro and CH720N. I’ve tried the CH720N before and liked how comfortable they felt.
I’ve heard some people say the CH720N leak sound, which makes me hesitant because I want to listen fairly loudly without bothering people around me. When I tried them out it was at a library so there wasn’t much noise to begin with. I also see a lot of praise for them which is making me lean towards them.
The CMF Pro being only $49 is also really tempting, but I’m wondering if the Sony is worth paying almost twice as much for.
I also like the Nothing (a) aesthetically, but the performance matters more to me, so I’m less focused on those.
If you’ve owned/used the CMF Pro or CH720N, especially if you’ve compared them, which would you choose for these priorities and why?
