Zipties to secure ball joint rubber boots, will it hold?

Was doing control arms on my car recently and because I’m such a genius and the engineers of the ball joints were even smarter both boots got pushed down by the knuckle below a ridge on the ball joint which prevented them from popping back up. Just took the rubber boots off and got some aftermarket ones that fit the size well, and used zipties instead of circlips because given my luck I’d probably end up tearing the rubber trying to put those annoying things on. The zipties are used were thin (2.1mm thick) so they fit into the grooves of the ball joints meant for the circlips just fine and I tightened them up with some pliers, and they’ve seemed to hold fine for around 2 weeks, especially with some long drives in that time frame. PA66 nylon zip-ties if that makes any difference.

What are your guys thoughts, is it fine long term?
