Can Therapy without Medication work? - Doctor says it won't
I am in a clinic/ psychiatry right now and the doctor has told me today that if I'm not willing to take any medication (which I am not), I should not expect the therapy to help with my ocd that much.
medication is completely out of question for me, so I feel really let-down by this.
I understand it's easier to treat if I additionally take meds but I dont know.
I feel like a good therapy should still be able to help me ;(
Now I kind of want to give up here. If he already says it wont help me much, what is the point in therapy?
but this is not my only issue I came here for so I'm trying to stay and give it all a fair chance.
A lot of yap for nothing, I suppose I want to ask if you guys agree that medication is a MUST?
I'm hoping there's hope that it can work without it too.
But also to add, this is not a clinic specialised in ocd, so maybe they just don't have a lot of knowledge about it? 🫣
