Any job that doesn’t make you cry?
I sincerely need some career advice. Since I graduated, I've had two jobs and cried from the pressure. It’s probably because of the field I’m in. I work in healthcare research.
In my previous job, I had a toxic supervisor and made minimum wage. I got this new opportunity and thought I would be happier because I could finally afford rent and food. However, the stress level turned out to be insane. I just finished our meeting at 10pm. After that, I have to finish coding. It’s almost 12am now, and I’m crying while finishing my work. I’m salaried, so I don’t even get paid for overwork. I have to finish it because the research process can’t be delayed. It’s always time-sensitive.
It leaves me wondering what hope I have for the future. I don’t even know if there’s any job that keeps you alive and doesn’t make you cry every day.
Any suggestions for a better field?
